Hi, I was wondering how many of the top speedrunners can wire clip on their first try. From how I understand it is that you just flip twice before you hit a wire that close to the ground. Is that not how you do it? And if so what is the best way to accomplish this.

Well, I'm not able to get it first try very often. For me spamming takes around three tries most of the time though I believe there is a method where you can actually time your second jump so you can get through the wire first try.
