I appreciate you if you did stumble upon this and are interested in running this game. The page is currently just been started and I've been tweaking some categories. Main categories are all the USA versions, where as the Japanese version is the misc categories with all the different difficulties. Let know if you have any questions or suggestions. Thanks!

"Main categories are all the USA versions, where as the Japanese version is the misc categories with all the different difficulties"

Hey. I'm not too familiar with the game. Can you explain why this decision was made?

edit: is it because the Japanese version has difficulty options while the US version does not?

United States

The way it works, the US version has 1 difficulty, and the J version has 3 difficulties (labeled 1, 2, 3). J-2 is close to US version, but not identical. The PAL version is identical to US I believe.

Originally I was asked which difficulties I thought should be included by default and I said US and J-3, since J-3 is closest to "hardest" difficulty. But between 3 modes (goofy, max, coop) x 4 difficulties, there would potentially be 12 different categories. If we wanted to clean it up we could remove the J difficulties for now, as I'm not sure when/if they would see any attention.

If you wanted to, you could just have three J categories and have difficulty as a filter, but yeah, it doesn't matter until someone runs it. Thanks for the answer.

I've thought about this for a bit and to clean up the categories a bit, I'm just going to exclude J-1 and J-2 and move J-3 to misc. 1 and 2 have not seen any action before and I doubt they will. A filter could be possible for the future but I'm not too worried about it. For now we'll have our main entries which will consistent of PAL and NTSC-U and the misc which will be ntsc-j. I'm one for not having a cluttered board so I think that's the best for now.

You can make any variable a sub-category now. So, you could have:

Max, Goofy, Co-op

Variable: Difficulty [World, J-1, J-2, J-3]

So, for example if you click the Max category, the "sub-categories" (which are really values of difficulty within the Max category) would show up under Max, then you click the one you're interested in.

Just an idea since clutter seems to be a driving force

Figure I'd reply to this as well. I actually like this idea because then it's just easier to to navigate through everything. You can just have the three categories and the variables to scroll through to view different versions of the game and different difficulties.

You're almost there.

Check out this thread for what I had in mind. You can make the variables subcategories and have easier navigation ( don't need the drop-down for more important differences)

FWIW, the current implementation is pretty much what I was thinking. I think it works.

Hi guys ! I'd like to run Goof Troop and I just read that thread. Pal version seems to be close to NTSC-U so here is my question. I have the Pal game and a Super Nintendo switched to 60 Hz. Can I play Pal game in 60 Hz or do I have to buy the NTSC-U Version ? The leaderboard ask for RTA so it's better to play in 60 Hz, but is there a difference between pal and ntsc on IGT ? Thanks

(sorry for my bad english)
