About categories and difficulty levels

Hi, I've recently applied for a record in SFC Normal.

I'm writing here because I have some questions about the regulations in the SFC version.

The first thing I want to talk about is whether or not Panic Bomber (SFC) has only Japanese Roms, since all the runners are using Japanese Roms.

Panic Bomber (SFC) has a total of five difficulty levels. The easiest is "EASIEST", and the difficulty levels are "EASY", "NORMAL", "HARD", and "HARDEST".

There are also different stages for each difficulty level. That is, the "Pretty Bomber", "Shadow Bomber", and "Space Bomber" do not appear unless the difficulty level is NORMAL or higher.

What I'm trying to say is that I checked the videos of everyone who currently holds the record in the Easy category, and all of them have defeated the above three characters, which makes me wonder.

I wondered if the game was being recorded as "Easy" when it was actually cleared on "Normal" difficulty or higher.

Unfortunately, in PanicBomber (SFC), there is no way to check the difficulty level without entering the options screen, so I can't say for sure. This is the tricky part.

However, I can say that it may not be "easy".

In addition, how about differentiating the categories from the current "EASY", "NORMAL", and "HARD" to "EASIEST", "EASY", "NORMAL", "HARD", and "HARDEST"?

The other thing is about the boss battle mode. In the boss battle, there is a "DOKURO MODE" where special abilities are added to the blocks in the way, and this is the default setting. I think it would be a good idea to categorize them.

That's what I think.

Thank you for reading my poor English using a translator.

Hi, I just found a way to tell some of the difficulty level, and I'll report it here.

It is the number of colors of the blocks in World1. In "EASIEST" and "EASY", there are three colors: red, blue, and white. In "NORMAL", there are four colors: red, blue, white, and green. For "HARD" and "HARDEST", there are five colors: red, blue, white, green, and black.

In other words, if you have applied for a record on Easy, you can prove that you are playing on the NORMAL difficulty level.

I still haven't found the material to determine "EASIEST" and "HARDEST". Is there anyone who knows?

That's what I've wanted to talk about for a long time since I speedrun this game! Thank you very much for saying this can help a lot to better organize the categories, mine was done on the normal difficulty, you can see in the first world of my run have red, blue white and green bombers
