I played the og Mirror's Edge not too long ago, and I thought, "This game is meant to be speedrunned. Speedran? Spedrunned? Anyway, I'm super new to all this. At the time of this post, my account is only 10 days old, but I've been having a lot of fun getting better and seeing my times improve. I'm kinda weird because I'm only interested in the glitchless level runs, but we'll see if my interest broadens with time. I'm really weird in the aspect that I'm not too interested in glitches. Or maybe I'm not. I dunno. Like I said I'm new, but as a newcomer, I know how visually unappealing speedruns can be. There's a lot of weird, erratic movement that the average person doesn't understand, and glitches and skips can add to a person's confusion. I have no problem with anybody who skips, glitches, and does whatever it takes to get the best time. I understand it completely. I personally am willing to sacrifice some time to have my runs look better to me. Once again, we'll see how my opinion on this matter changes with time. (especially, once I hit a wall with my time and can't improve it further without the help of said tactics), but that's just me. I just wanted to jump into the forums. Thanks for reading this.
