I have a bad habit of just posting my updates on my Twitter; I should be posting here for those who don't follow me.
We now have a user list!
Feel free to post any feedback you may have, or suggestions for extra lists.
A few things that have been suggested so far:
ಠ Make locations in the sidebar link to that location on the user list ಠ Show how many users are found in each area ಠ A list of staff / the users who moderate the most games ಠ A list of users with the most total run time
Nice update from the old list (y)
For suggestions: ಠ Most WR's ಠ Most pb's submitted ಠ Most posts ಠ Most likes ಠ Most time spend on the site (not sure if you can measure this :p )
Some would not really be speedrun related but more like miscellaneous
Wouldn't "most PBs" be the same as "most runs"? Or would it be minus one-offs and minus the first run in a sequence of submissions? The first run would still technically be a PB, even if there is nothing to compare it to, right?
Well a person can submit a pb on day 1, beat it and submit his new pb on day 2 etc so those would count up for most pb's submitted
Right, but are you differentiating between PBs and runs? If so, then how? With your above example, is there a scenario where you would identify them as runs, rather than PBs?
I assumed the run count on a profile's info tab included all runs, even those obsoleted by new submissions, unless a user deletes them as they go. Maybe that's where my confusion is coming from.
Ah, now i get you. I would see it as runs that you can see on the leaderboard that are not obsoleted. thats why i suggested the other option
Also a counter of "amount of people on current selected list" would be nice. So People could see 169 users donated or 37 people live in state X
You can just say you are from a country, you don't have to go into depth. I an't answer second question cause it's obvious some people show their real country on their social media but on here they put bullshit like they're from antarctica or korea
Right, but how could it be proven where someone is from? And if it could be proven, then wouldn't that be a privacy issue? I'm assuming site admins have access to our IP addresses, but would it be fair for them to use that information to reveal to everyone where users are from? Whether it's a broad or specific location being revealed, it would still use information that some people feel should be kept private.

One could always use proxies to simulate a connection at the other side of the planet
Found a bug with it:
- Select a Country with Regions assigned to it
- Select a Region
- Unselect the Region (To "-"/None)
- You see now all Countries again instead of the selected one.
@PreFiXAUT : Isn't 'None' meaning that there is no filter and that it should show all the countries ?
The new list looks pretty good in comparison to the older one. I second the ideas of have the number of runners on the countries and the staff list, those can come in handy, specially the later one.
I tend to look out for newer brazilian runners so I can try to invite them to our BR community and this list has been really helpful in the past few months on that regard.
