Sup ladies and lads, it's been a while, but I want to do a few runs of HP2 and try and get a bit better at the game since I never really got that far.

Anyway, since I last played I've upgraded to Windows 10 and now HP2 won't run at all. Whether I run it from autorun or game, it just won't boot up. Even running as an admin, literally nothing happens. I've tried reinstalling which still didn't help, I was thinking about pirating a copy to see if that made any difference but I don't see how it would..

I did a bit of googling but couldn't find any answer, and I thought you guys would be my best shot these days. So if anyone has had a similar problem or has a possible solution, I'd really appreciate the help. I also had no idea where the hell to contact you guys these days so I went with this, it doesn't look like these forums are particularly active though so it's a long shot x.x

hate to promote illegal things, but if you go look up a crack of the exe, it should work, and let you play without a disk

Late bump, but this is due to the SecDrv.sys file being blacklisted by Microsoft (which is the DRM the game uses to make sure you have a valid copy). One option is, as said above, to look up a crack of it, but the other option is to re-enable that driver. Alternatively, you could use the instructions here: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/play-games-safedisc-securerom-drm-windows-10/ (you'll want the option to "self-sign the SafeDisc driver"). You'll still need the game disk, but this will let you play any games that require that DRM verification.

I'm probably late to this but the mod that gets the game to work without the cd fixed my issue. That's more legit than a crack version but still not totally legit.

Looking to speedrun this game, ive downloaded a crack with the game, but game doesn't work on windows 10 x64. if i find a fix ill update
