Why Does 100% Have Version Column, but not any%?

Did they change something with how the game is 100%'ed?

Maybe a "game version" column should be added to any% as well but until now no one bothered to speedrun the harder 1.0 difficulty, that if you can get it to run well on your PC in the first place. There was indeed a small change added though: when Andokai was preparing to do his 100% speedrun back then, Teo Phil quickly added the level 9 seagull fix in addition to a missing crate (from level 9 again) and the level 14 missing tiger guard fix. As for the level 2 infamous "unreachable" coin, you still need to get hit by a dog enemy and do a double jump from its hit, but that's pretty do-able most of the times so he let that unchanged. Basically, when you download and play the Claw v1.4.4.4 'CrazyHook' version now, it already has all those treasure fixes added in so you can get 100% in every level.

Thanks for the info @Garadares! I've only played the 1.3 patch version installed from the DVD release of the game on my Windows XP machine (Don't remember if the 1.3 patch had to have been installed separately from the DVD release or not).

Any% probably should have a version column, because there are speedruns of the early 1.4 versions which are significantly different (e.g. ). In these versions, double jumps are patched and so is the Caverns skip, so level 11 is played in full. I guess the version column will not be added until someone tries to submit a run on a significantly different version though.

One could consider the older 1.4 versions as worse "prototypes" though. =) 1.4.4.4 is the best version after all. Maybe the 1.4.3 version should be used for glitchless runs since it has double jumps disabled and level 11 skip patched. Unless 1.4.4.4 also improved the framerate of the game a bit which would definitely make it the best version of the game that you can speedrun.
