I realize that a lot of discussion has arisen over this topic, so I figure there ought to be a forum post discussing the pros and cons of making 75% be the main category.

Now, first off, the Pimp's Quest community takes these rules very seriously. This is no place for memes, jokes, jeers, jabs, or tom-foolery of any kind. I'd like participants to remain civil at all times.

Pros of 75%:

Removes the first 30 or so seconds of the old route, which tend to be the same from run to run.

Cons of 75%:

Don't get to hear the silly dialogue.

I would prefer to keep the first act, really for one reason (OK, 2 reasons, 'cos the dialogue is effin hilarious), and that reason is you still assume control of the PimpInTraining during that time. For me, maybe being a bit of a traditionalist, timers should usually start when you take control of your character. And in the opening stage, you have to move him around or you get shot and killed.

Though I guess, that being said, I may feel different about it after i have run the game 50 times xD

To me, there really isn't anything wrong with running the game as 100% (all acts) and 75%/any % as separate categories. ☺

This is not a game for goofs or gaffs. We here at PimpHQ© are discussing this very seriously as this game is one of the most (if not THE most) technically advanced runs in the speedrunning community. There is no doubt the verdict of this decision will change everything you know about speed.

Wow, I've been farming the first 30 sec of the run, plz don't remove it. Haven't started yet to learn all of the run because I spent too much time on the first 30 sec.

Is it possible that the quick time events will move faster depending on how fast the player mashes the inputs? If so, this segment could widely vary by hundredths, maybe even TENTHS of seconds. A timesave like that could never be ignored.
