What I know you could run it with a adapter on pal n64 but it won‘t be able to run at the same speed. Sorry for my English.

PAL N64s are exclusive to PAL games meaning you cant play a NTSC cartridge on it. if you purchase a NTSC N64, you can run JPN SM64 on it as well as NTSC carts. you will also need a TV that is 60hz compatible (eg. a CRT)

wouldn't playing it on pal and speeding it up by 16,7% work? that's how much slower the game is iirc

How would you even speed it up?

in a video editing software maybe? i guess it'd be unfair to play it slower tho, you'd have much more time to react to things.

best way would be to make a separate category imo, pretty sure many people would be interested

Absolutely nobody plays PAL since its 50hz, try to get a japanese n64+ japanese sm64, is your best option if you don't care of money, anyway there's a cheap way but its as emulating. And about the speeding up the video that's banned since you're editing footage.
