Can someone show me the way to a safe functional emulator for the PC-version of this game? :D I'm very interested in running it.

I would be interested in this too, if anyone has the time.

You search up (for example) "Project 64 1.6" and then download it. Then download game and start the emu. Super ez

I don't think that's what OP is saying. He makes mention of the "PC-Version" which is different from N64 emu In theory PC version should be faster than N64 emu. So it would make sense to want to run the PC version. I tried to install it but when I went to go boot up the game, it wouldn't launch. I applied several fixes such as DGVoodoo and nGlide. Nothing seems to work to get the PC version to launch. Which is a damn shame because you could shave off a bunch of time with PC.

I'm sure there has to be a fix for it somewhere. I actually just got a copy online recently, but I had an error where it didn't want to launch. Not exactly sure whats causing it, but if it really saves that much time, we should probably figure it out.

o_o well that was easy, I got it to work.

I used it on my laptop, it doesn't seem to like multiple monitor set ups and doesn't like to be tabbed out of. it also sets the screen resolution to something specific so it can work.

It loads a lot quicker than I expected, so it maybe worth the switch

Project64 1.7 is the fastest emulator to use due to no emulator bans.

Do you think at some point we might end up banning emulators or that they will be here to stay?

This is just my personal (tho pretty popular) opinion. I think emus should be allowed (atleast the older ones n64,psx) but there should always be an advantage on original consoles over emus, and that is not the case right now.

The WR run has been done with emulator that might even be faster than the actual n64 console, so I dont really know how it could be dealt with.

edit: out of 6 categories 3 wrs are set on emualtors. edit2: After looking at differences in load times between your 100% wr and my any% wr(on emu) on n64, I'd say the loads are pretty even. The actual nintendo 64 seemed to have little bit faster loads, but that could have been my error on timing.
