I'm just strating at this world of speedrunning and I wanted to know what kind of Programs or apps can i use to record my screen and what kind of timers can I use

tried to install LiveSplit, but my pc detected a virus in the rar, btw i got windows so, what timer or screen recorders are the best for windows.

Again, Livesplit and OBS are best for windows.

If Livesplit doesn't download you can try Wsplit or Llanfair

yes, it actually were both Livesplit.exe and the register exe, but however my pc didn't let me execute them

Windows’ own antivirus won’t, Norton doesn’t, I’m not sure about others

Didn’t block it for me, at least on windows 10. Norton likes to block all sorts of stuff, especially ROMs, so I have to download stuff on my laptop, then OneDrive it onto the computer
