Thank you all for helping us achieve #zerohunger
So friends, it looks like the old site is shutting down, so the speedrun.com leaderboard might need to be archived. Once it officially shuts down, I think I'll request we create a new leaderboard for Free Rice 3.0. I've kept a well-documented spreadsheet of all runs with grain totals, and I'll definitely keep that up as we move into the new website and app. As of today, we've fed 19 people as a group and I'm grateful for your help!
By the way, the new app is funky fresh and looking good. I recommend you download it. If you need any help with finding resources for recording on mobile, hit me up in the mobile speedrunning discord! https://discord.gg/bpY8zeB
Or hit me up in the Free Rice Discord, link in the sidebar! Let's keep up the runs for rice!
i just tryed it again and the question seems slower because of the new ui. so maybe we should get a new leaderboard, if people are still interested in running the game
The official death date appears to be one week from now, August 28th.
Here's just an unofficial list of all the categories left that need a run:
1000 grains: All Subjects Humanities- All Subjects (Attempt under review) English- All Subjects (I took the first attempt at this)
10000 grains: All Subjects (...) Humanities: Everything but World Hunger (I took out World Hunger, which sounds much more impressive than it actually is :P ) Languages: All Subjects Science Chemistry: Full List and All Subjects (I took both of these) English: All the categories Geography: World Capitals and All Subjects (I got the first 10k Landmarks, zir0nic took countries on a map) Test Prep
I feel like we can take all of these if we really try, except for 10000 grains for all subjects. If @zir0nic takes 9 minutes for 100 rice, that would mean 900 minutes for 10000 rice. Of course, that is a rough estimate, but the sheer fact that it takes estimating down from 15 hours shows that going for it will be insane.
