Mouse Fix for Dead Space PC

Hey, I read through the DS-Forum here and noticed that pointing out a potential Mouse Fix for DSPC would maybe be appreciated.

For NVIDIA GPU´s: -Turn V-sync (and Triple-Buffer optional for no Screen Tearing) ON in the Nvidia Control Panel for DeadSpace.exe. -Turn V-sync OFF in the IN-GAME MENU of Dead Space.

For ATI GPU´s: -Download a program thats called "RivaTuner". Install and open it. Set it on Global and check V-sync (and Triple-Buffer optional for no Screen Tearing) to ON. -Turn V-sync OFF in the IN-GAME MENU of Dead Space.

Now you still can argue about the Sensitivity in Aim-Mode whats managable but improvable. of course you just can turn up the overall-sens. but this will affect your nonAIM-MODE-sens. too ofc but the nonAIM-MODE-sens isnt the problem.

What follows wasnt tested by me: Search for a .ini File thats named "Settings". Its located in ...Appdata\Local\Electronic Arts\Dead Space. To acces the Appdata Folder (whats a hidden folder) open the Home-Menu of windows and type %appdata% (yes with the Percent-icons). Open with Notepad and search "Control.MouseSensitivity = 1.00000000". Set this to "Control.MouseSensitivity = 1.30000067" and maybe it does better fit your needs.

I played Dead Space this Week with those settings (except the changes to the .ini File) and it was good and perfectly playable. Maybe give it a chance and im sure it can improve times in contrast to a XBOX-Controller.

¤I had Loading Times so short that the game hasnt had enough time to display the name of the next Chapter im entering. Im talking about half a Second. (Notable is that i have an i7 Quadcore 4.00Ghz and 16gb Ram.)

¤¤I was able to make a 180 turn in AIM-MODE in no time.

¤¤¤You have to make relativly big moves with your Mouse-Hand in AIM-MODE (without .ini adjustments) and if your picky you have a just barely notable input lag that you have to adjust to.

¤¤¤¤Were talking about a 180 turn with a flick in nonAIM-MODE.

Sorry to come out of nowhere and post on a sort of old thread, but this game has a mouse fix to enable raw input independent of the games fps or vsync: https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/840-dead-space-mouse-fix/ And I haven't seen anyone mention it but maybe I just missed it. Dunno if you'd want to ban it or allow it but talking about it seems important. That site also mentions the vsync issues klet_Okar brang up and it basically comes down to running best at 60fps with in game vsync off but exceeding 60fps causes problems which probably make the game slower.

Running the game over 60fps causes alot of hardlocks, to where you cant progress, meaning anything over 60fps is a no go for this game, and also the higher the fps the slower issac moves, 60fps he still moves pretty fast but its still slower than 30fps, so in all honesty when it comes down to it 30fps is the fastest to run the game on. I'm not sure what kind of difference that mouse fix would make for 30fps but i dont see a reason to ban it, but the mouse movement on 30fps in general is not that bad, but overall i think dead space 1 is better ran with a controller, whereas 2 and 3 dont suffer from the issues that 1 has meaning super high fps and mouse and keyboard is perfect for 2 and 3.
