I was wondering what category to use when submitting future runs across the SOR series. I currently play on the steam/pc versions, but my run has been re-classified as emu. the PC option has since been removed

Before I submit any future runs I'd like some clarification.

Yeah i've seen people posting on "PC" but the game has not been released on pc. The game you play on steam is an emulator rom on a SEGA emulator for information so it does count as Emulator =)

Hello all. I've just recently discovered this site and the software LiveSplit. I use OBS and Twitch.

I have the Streets of Rage trilogy on Steam and I'm trying to get LiveSplit working with it.

I got it all set up so the timer showed on a live stream but the timer doesn't start counting as I play. It just remains on 0.00

If anyone could assist me with this it would be much appreciated.

Where is platform PC? in Disney Afternoon collection - PC Sega Mega Drive and Genesis Classics = emu genesis WTF. PS4 = PS4 Wii = Wii PC (steam) = Emu Genesis... mmm nice.

NeGAtiv4k, you just keep it on Sega Genesis then tick the emulator box. Too many different types of Emulators on PC to list them all.

There's original console and everything else is emulator. PS, Xbox, Wii, Switch, PC; it's all emulator.

I think need edit all runs wich PS4,Xbox, Wii, Switch, PC platforms and stay emu genesis.

In your logic this would apply to me and all Emu users cause we play on PC too therefore it's PC. It doesn't make sense, we're not playing a game released on PC, it's a Sega genesis rom played by another emulator.

The only flaw this board have is having OG hardware flirting with Emu. It should be separate. The categories goes normally by this :

• Category 1 (Original hardware) - Category 2 (All emus/Virtual console.)

I'll just quote their words concerning the situation about your Disney collection from the forum post 2 years ago :

So yeah, they decided to separate VC only without separating emu in some cases ( Here : https://www.speedrun.com/dt#Any_Afternoon_Collection ) which is not what i want to do.

The only thing that need to be done is to separate Console from this, then PC should make its way to talk about the steam collection and everything should be EMU/VC.

ok, go create platforms Hardware+genesis emu(emulators kega, gens, retroarch etc). PC+PS4+Xbox+Switch and another. i dont know its hard add PC platform because official relise on steam was produced by sega.
