Whenever I run this game on Mesen or Bizhawk, it just seems to me the game is running slower than everyone else. Could just be me Idk. All I know is it's running at 50 fps. I doubt that's a big contributor but is there something with the speed I need to change at all or should any Castlevania ROM work?
RawKitMan, what controller do you use to play on BizHawk? I’ve been trying to use a PS4 controller over Bluetooth but it doesn’t seem to register any of the button prompts.
I have a PS4 Controller too but the game responds because I installed Ds4. I don't know if you do. Komrad, I did it on my laptop and desktop and both were the same. So I think it's the version. I'll look for the NTSC version. Thank you
Maybe there's a weird button mapping, idk. I've only dealt with pause glitches if I get hit in a certain way. P.S it was definitely the version I had. Runs so much smoother now. Now I just need to freakin beat Dracula for the first time. Gotta put in a lot of work.
Btw if anyone comes to this forum and is having a hard time using a PS4 controller with BizHawk I recommend installing DS4 but also making sure Steam is turned off or that the options for recognizing a controller are disabled. It appears that DS4 and steam we’re fighting with each other and not letting the controller work properly.
