Run on a Everdrive 64?

Can I submit a run played on an Everdrive 64 X5? It has a built in nes EMU

New York, USA

"NES Categories Original NES, Famicom or FDS Original NES or Famicom with Everdrive or Powerpak Wii, Wii U, Switch and 3DS Virtual Console, GameBoy Advance FCEUX, Nestopia, Bizhawk, OpenEMU Frontends used in conjunction with these emulators that can alter the performance (ex. RetroArch) are not permitted NES Classic Edition. Analogue NT Mini"

This was taken from the rules tab on the SMB1 leaderboard. If the console or emulator is not listed above, unfortunately, the run cannot be accepted. If you are having trouble on what to run SMB1 on, I highly recommend looking at the resources page to find allowed emulators.

Ok, I knew you could use an ED in a Famicom or NES, wan't sure about n64

New York, USA

The Everdrive allowed is specifically the NES and Famicom Everdrive. but not for the N64 due to playing NES games, would be considered emulation, and the only emulators allowed for submissions are the ones above.

I think that the Moderators should reconsider the prospect of adding this emulator to the leaderboards. It may be on N64 but it is still an emulator and appears to to emulate the game to the same level of quality as the other leaderboard-accepted emulators.

Connecticut, USA

i have that same problem but game and watch

"Appears to be fine" is not proof. We need proof and enough demand to consider adding that. You're maybe the second person in the past 6 years I've heard mention this platform.

The MiSTer is honestly the next platform we should consider adding as we do have a fair number of requests for that.
