What's a good time in 16 star PAL

Northern Ireland

So I am a Pal runner and I am just wondering what's a good time in 16 star/ or 70 star as I don't yet have my Japanese N64...

England

A good time for 16 star would be around 22 minutes to 23 minutes. Sub 22 is possible though.

If Xiah was playing on PAL for his WR run it would have been a high 17 (only taking into account framerate differences), and i'm not gonna be the one to say what is good based on that so you can decide whats good based on that I guess.

I'm ordering another Japanese cartridge too so good luck on the runs when you get it :)

@MODS: this run ( https://www.speedrun.com/run/mekjg43m ) is in the wrong variable/sub-category...just fell into my eye, no great thing...but i think, every peace of order creates a leaderboard getting more perfect with every little step :)

There is no "PAL WR" for any category in SM64. Sure maybe by some petty technicality there is, but there is currently no significant competition for it. There also never has been any significant competition on the PAL platform since players from PAL regions could play an NTSC version of the game on emulator.

If you are going to play this game, you really should be playing on NTSC. Otherwise, it's just a complete waste of time since your times are even more meaningless on PAL. Either get an NTSC ROM or buy an NTSC cart.
