January 11th 2019 i manage to find lap skip in every track while i was looking for any sort of clip/shortcut by accident. Friendly reminder these skips are NOT ALLOWED in individual lap trials and endurances but they are allowed in tower runs and 100%. These have been done on PAL Ps2 but i did these on NTSC-U Emulator as well. From what i can tell now the angle you are driving against the wall matters will you drive over the start/finish line without game registering that you drive over it from the wrong side. I know i'm missing few tracks here for example Neighborhood but i can assure you that this works in every track.

Proof that it works in other challenges than lap trials:
Just messed around with this trick a bit trying to figure out exactly what is going on and there are a couple of interesting things to note. So I was trying this on the first Woody knockout race stage and would use the trick to get me to lap 2, the game would recognise i had completed a lap in terms of knowing not to eliminate me but it would still show me as being in last place at bottom of the screen. Completing laps normaly from this point would change the postion stated at bottom of the screen but in a weird way (i hope to have a vid up soon showing this). You would not think this last place glitch would mean much but its seems to affect item pick ups with me getting 3 out of 3 battery pickups instead of electric attack from boxes as some kind of catchup mechanic that can be exploited.
Small weird pointless find while trying to set up a consistant angle with save states, The idle animation where your character moves the steering by themselves changes your angle slightly. For example I find an angle that works each time i load from save state if i wait until animation before moving it will not work.
I can confirm that the skip works on Xebra Emulator, USA version of the game.
