Hi. Im new to speedrunning and looking for a controller for my EMU. (I don´t want to use my keyboard)
Which one are whitelisted?
Many use an original NES controller, and a NES to USB-adapter... it this okay for speedrunning?
Original nes controller using a usb adapter is your best option, especially if you plan on switching to console in the future. Raphnet is known for making great quality adapters, but since this is only NES, a cheap dumb adapter from tomee should work just as well.
@Mushroomanic, okok. Thats right im planning to switching to console later :)
Can I use a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller for a Super Mario Bros speedrun. (what I want to know is if it is valid or not)
You can use any controller you wish basically. You cannot use functions such as turbo or anything else that you can't do on an OG controller.
The Switch already is an emulator for many NES and SNES titles.
What's wrong with a keyboard?
literally any controller that feels good in your hands that you could play on for a while
