GBA/DS video capture

I am looking to purchase an original DS capture card to stream/record GBA and DS games however the place I was going to get it from sold out a while ago and doesn’t seem to be going to get more. I can’t seem to find somewhere else where one is available. I know that there is an attachment for the GameCube that I could get for the GBA games, but I was hoping for the DS capture card. If anyone has any information on where to get one it would be greatly appreciated.

This is the only one I know of that still makes them.

This guy also does some: https://twitter.com/Gonjona2

I'm glad I got a 2ds XL capture card from merki when he still sold them.

@Sizzyl How reliable has that card been? (The one you own, just wondering)

@Pear The 3dscapture.com doesn’t make them anymore from what I can tell. Got a 3ds one from them in December, at the time their DS was sold out. Been keeping an eye on it since then and their 3ds ones sold out around March. No sign of either being brought back.

@Sizzyl And that guy on Twitter appears to have stopped taking requests back in February

Edit: @Pear it appears there was one line I missed on his website. Don’t know when he added it because it doesn’t really stand out and it wasn’t there when I originally was checking out the website a while back. But looks like they might be back in June

@Pear phenomenal, well worth the money. I mainly use it to play stuff on my 3ds while in calls with friends, but I've done a couple speedruns with it too (Mario 64 3DS port https://www.speedrun.com/super_mario_64_3ds, some DS hacks https://www.speedrun.com/ekds/full_game#Flower_Cup, etc.) Only reason it looks bad is because of my layout making it so I need to stretch the footage.

@Jonsy why not use your 3ds to record the DS games? The gamecube records the GBA games better anyway.

It would be easier for me to incorporate a DS into my setup since it is smaller, but worse case I would end up doing the GameCube. Just wanted to check my options first

@Jonesy Check the forum on 3dscapture.com for the most recent updates. He is absolutely still making 3DS and DS capture cards, and he’s also working on introducing a New 3DS XL card.

@Pear the 'new 3DS XL' card has been 'in the works' since around 6 years ago.

Oh damn, didn't know that lol

Yeah, you've still got options when it comes to recording DS/GBA if you've got a 3DS capture card and a GCN. If you need something to record the Gamecube with, the GV-USB2 is an excellent capture card for it.

Still wish I had a 3DS capture card, though I know the number of games I'd play on it are less than what I would on the DS.

@O.D.W. I got a 3DS capture card with the power of homebrew + virtual console to satisfy all my needs :)

Valhalla

Bruh it automatically changes O.D.W to o.D.W when you type it

Been wonderin' why that happens

i never get any mentions

Valhalla

Probably has to do with the . signifying the end of a sentence

@danger_ those run on a different OS than the 3DS, it's quite literally impossible to do. If you play off of emulators it has a chance of being added, but would still be a lot of work.

DS capture on 3DS is only possible via capture card or a camera. That's 90% of why I bought my capture card lol.
