Estimation for best possible time on R.T.S/Assoluto (or basicly Drift-cars) in Any%?

What it could be, I've been thinnking to push that (atleast super close) to it's limits, before considering moving into R.T.S/Terrazi and WR-contentsion, let's just say I hate Grip-Type cars :'D. But Yeah, I'm currently standing at 28:43 and know there are bumps and stuff like that.. How low can it be pushed? 28.3x, 28.2x orsomething else?

And just saying that I really come from original PlayStation Ridge Racer-games (1 & Revolution) so there is reason to my Drift-preference.

I've been testing RTS Assoluto extensively recently, and the estimated best possible time is about 27:34. That's 3 seconds lower than the current BPT for RTS Terrazi. In order for you to succeed, extensive usage of manual transmition tricks must be utilized, along with strict execution. You should be aiming for these:

HS: 1:08:210, 1:08:52 WH: 1:28:2 on 1st lap and low 1:29 on 2nd lap EoE: Triple 1:03 (1:03:3 on the 1st, 1:03:6 or 7ish onwards) OoB: Triple 1:02:7 Phantomile: Triple 0:30 (30:8 on 1st lap, 30:3 or 4 onwards) BN: 59:12 1st lap, double 58:8 onwards (though 59:3 then 58:9 is fine) Hell: Triple 1:05 (1:05:9 1st lap, 1:05:6 onwards. Low 1:06 on 1st lap is also fine) SH: 29:5 1st lap, 28:41 onwards

Sadly, I don't have a good recording device and my old PS2 can't run fast enough to avoid menu delays. If you can reach those marks while bypassing menu lag, the WR is yours.

I need tons of grind for that lol. But it doesn't sound totally impossible. Luckily Ridge Racer-games I run utilize atleast some sort of MT tricks :D

Try reproducing what these men did. You'll notice two drift methods: the instant drift (letting go the acceleration, tapping brake and accelerating again simultaneously) and the quick drift (letting go off the acceleration for a few frames, then speeding up again). https://sp.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9334110?cp_in=watch_watchRelatedContents

It does take a lot of grinding indeed, and pulling that off consistently is very difficult, but once you get the hang of MT, drifting techniques and boost rides, it will be only a matter of time before you reach WR. Also, you probably knew these two different drift methods, but it never hurts to recall them. Knowing which drift method is best suited when tackling corners is mandatory for best possible times. For example, you won't be using the 2nd method on HS and BN at all, whereas on other courses, you'll use both (extremely risky to use the 2nd method on EoE).

As a side note, you can get times as low as 1:04:2 with DRT Infinito if you work your way around Heaven and Hell properly, but doing that is quite difficult, considering that you're driving the hardest car of all stage 3 machines.

Yeah and DRT is slower until Stage 3 if I recall correctly from times when I 100%:ted casually Japanese version of game :D That quick drift could be useful (no pressing brake), I don't have yet down timing to when car starts drift that I could say I have it down in my miscle memory. Right now it feels like I can't have enough control that when my car starts drifting when going with that method lol

But m8, I can happily say that looks learnable :D

It's definitely learnable, but then again, it requires a tremendous amount of practice. Driving drift cars properly is harder than grips.

If you compare the times directly, you'll find out that the main reason why Assoluto can reclaim the any% run is stage 3, as RTS Infinito performs better than Starlight by quite a significant amount (a 5~6 second save on average). Only stage 1 has Terrazi outperform Assoluto convincingly, whereas stage 2 is pretty much equivalent and stage 4 you only lose 0.5 second, not to mention that RTS Destroyer has handling issues and Squalo handles near perfectly.
