For certain countries, you can change your flag next to your name in Profile > Edit Profile > Leaderboard Flag, however as far as I'm aware I've never seen an EU flag set before. The only occasion I actually know this happens is for people in the UK; they have the option to either use the UK flag, or the flag of the individual country they set.

Here is the SOLUTION:

You can select the EU from the dropdown menu of countries, it is only hidden. Try typing in "European Union".

To Bob-chicken, don't go around and tell people what to do or don't. You can get better results co-operating, helping people looking for help. For example, instead of telling me what to do or what not to do, you could have given me the information I was looking for, while gently reminding me, asking me to not "necro threads in the future." Even if you are moderator or an admin, with power and authority, the approach I propagate usually yields better results.

Also, instead of scolding people for asking, you could have given the "solution" a year ago, when this thread was relevant. How come people are not so active when they could help one another, but super-active and ready when they can scold and tell each other what to do? (...and still refusing to help.)

Second also, this whole thread would be entirely unnecessary if the site didn't hide the European Union, as an option for those who are looking for it. There are some, who believe in a unified Europe, something similar to the USA, and consider themselves Europeans first, member-state nationals second.

The previous owners/maintainers of the site didn't think it was important, and the current owners have a lot of other important stuff to do first. This is something I would like to see in the future though, since this happens far too often and frequently results in these pointless arguments.
