Any % Alpine...why should retiring be allowed?

Why do you consider it WR if stages are completely unplayed and it was just retired?

What defines the following Rule? "Get the ending credits as quickly as possible via skipping longer races and winning shorter races"

Should other players just follow Serges definition?

Thanks in Advance, Snyder

I think that this is a perfectly valid speedrunning mode. Most game define "finishing a game" by reaching the credits.

But I would agree with you that there should be a separate category for 100% speedruns, since that is a feat in itself. Although I would argue that this does not imply that you have to win the competition, but simply not lose it (and thus reaching the credits). And if that's the case, I wouldn't even attempt the big airs, but try to land as soon as possible and start from 8th position.

Come to think of it, there is a 100% category already. But what does "AA" stand for? And where is mirror mode? And should we also include big air, big air master and halfpipe as categories? And board park? ?

Edit:

Oh, and I just saw the rules for "Alpine" and AA – why on earth would you create a mode that limits you to a certain board? I absolutely disagree with that one. You should be able to use any board you like. What good are separate categories for separate boards? Isn't the goal of the game to finish it as quickly as possible, by any means necessary? I agree with the time taking rule, but not the board limiation. Why have a separate categories for each? And why not have a "Freestyle" category, then? And what if I find out that for the 100% normal mode it is a valid strategy to start with alpine boards for the easier tracks and switch to allround on the harder ones? Where would I submit a run for that?

And why does "100%" mean that you have to finish every race in first place? As described above, it would be quicker to "skip" the big airs and start from last place, and then have a quick and hopefully uninterrupted race. The idea behind 100% should be that you have to race every single track in succession (and not get kicked out of the competition, obviously).

Hi guys, I am willing to look at maybe bringing all the board categories together to an any% (any board type) and 100% (any board type). I agree we dont need 6 categories for a game hardly anybody runs when we could have 2 or 3 with people actually competing against each other. 100% would be finishing all the races (and big airs) any% would be finish the game as quick as possible (track skips and any future found glitches allowed) maybe a nugame+ category too, meaning you can complete the game with cheat code characters and boards
