Language Difference

Simple question with hopefully a simple answer. Does the language the game is in affect runs at all? Really, won't we want a slower language so we get more time to walk during radio calls or all languages roughly the length for radio calls?

I haven't thought about this but on the other hand,it could be the case for some things like choosing the route for a train which you can't confirm until the dialogue ends or when Tyrell is opening the gate for Carlos in the police station or playing the tape in front of intercom.

I didn't even consider those places. That just makes more interesting what the best language to run this in is.

Japanese seems to be faster. only a couple places where longer dialog would matter as you hit places and skip before convo ends.

Apparently Japanese is 2 seconds faster, but I’m sceptical because I’m pretty sure all dialogue has an static input delay that isn’t dependant on what dialogue is said. I could be wrong though...

If someone can dissect the audio files. they should be able to see how long they are and if they arent spliced then there shouldnt be any delay.

So far I tested:radio call in subway when you are heading towards 1st typewriter, dialogue when inputting the subway route, dialogue once the route inputted, radio call once Jill enters the sewers, radio call during rocket nemmy chase and dialogue from tape for intercom. There doesn't seem to be any difference in languages which is starting to make me believe that there is really a fixed time of when radio call will make the timer stop/continue,when the game will let you input the route or when will game allow you to open the door once using the tape on intercom even though it all happens once dialogue ends on every language. I tested it by recording a video of every part I wanted to test and comparing.

Extracting the audio files might not be accurate since there is a possibility of all these actions having a fixed time and not being dialogue dependent (which I believe is the case, but I could be wrong).

Watching uhTrance's stream last night i heard him say "Japanese is faster". Just putting that out there in case its helpful.
