I dont think I have seen people using duping this way on mission the when duped the usual way only have one of the instances passed and the other either keeps running or fail. A way to counter this could be passing the mission at the same time the second instance is started. I used this to dupe Snail Trail without softlocking Ice Cold Killa, but since duping this mission will definitely not help beat the game any faster I am posting here on the useless glitches pages: I park a car on the target because cutscenes kills peds that have cars over them, this way I can make him die (which will pass the mission) at the same time I am starting the second instance and at the same time I start the next mission (Ice Cold Killa).

I tried using a similar strategy to try duping Deconstruction (once again this dupe will not help beat the game any faster), and it shoul work, but the problem is that the hole is already filled with cement on the second instance and I have no way of burying the foreman. Does anybody know how could I make him go through the ground and be able to pass the second instance (?): Its possible to dupe Yay Ka-Boom-Boom like this too. The hard part is doing this while holding a call to start the second mission with OM0 (valet + gf call trick) to be able to answer Toreno`s call during the second instance before passing it and not softlocking the game:

So TIL that ESDF is not immune to inputing cheats. Instead of weather cheat is inputs some car handling cheat or something.

Its very interesting the Los Desperados duping setup, but I was wondering, is there a way to pass first instance and start the second instance with OM0? I would like to test something if that is possible. Normally I would use valet + gf, but since you need to release the call to gain movement on the cutscene I think it wont work. The first instance passes just a bit aftet the second instance starts, but I will still keep OM1 even though the instance just ended.

This might be useful for "in-game hundo" (where you need to get 100% completion no matter how). Start a bunch of Quarry instances, start Vertical Bird with those still running, complete it. I have not found out how to consistently avoid a softlock at the start of Vertical Bird, though. Also, it might crash with more than a few instances.

I googled "gtasa instapass" and found this useless but fun thing here. :D

Now, I found out the reason it works and why it only works in LS (thanks to scrlog :)).

When I read the script a week ago, I thought that the opponent was supposed to count as dead: all local variables are set to 0 when the gymls thread starts, so does the variable containing the opponent's handle[note1]. When the game checks "IF IS_CHAR_DEAD var_containing_his_handle@" it returns TRUE since an actor with handle 0 does not exist, ergo counts as dead.

But actually the new gymls thread immediately re-creates the opponent. var_containing_his_handle@ is overwritten with the new opponent's handle, so the old opponent becomes irrelevant. It checks if the opponent is inside the ring. The new opponent is at the punchbag, so he is not inside the ring, so you win.

In SF, the new opponenent is still in the fighting area, you can just punch him out the last step and win.

In LV, the game only ever does a position check relating to starting the match ("want to learn new moves?") - I checked every instance of var_containing_his_handle@.

[1] That is the reason that people like to "die" when duping some missions, their handles are stored inside local variables - inside global vars they would be save without explicit re-initialization to 0?

During an LS race I got busted (I suck, right), then while at the police station before I regained control of CJ I got the gym phone call, after the call ended I regained control but I was at the gym. Seems very useless, I can find the clip in my vod if anyone wants to see but I don't think it has any use.

It's used in 100% already, after courier they spray a tag on the police station then answer the gym call.

When you start Ryder with OM 0, drive to the barbershop and right after that start 8-track, the first cutscene starts. If you don't skip the cutscene before a certain point, the game crashes. If you skip it, your world gets very weird and when you approach the mission markers, the game crashes, too. It's a pretty weird and cool glitch, but I don't think it could help with anything. :)

The way it works is that it interprets a parameter as an opcode: 0002: jump [garbage] - so it just uses what is left over in ScriptParams[0] from previous commands which is 0. So it executes code from the very beginning of the script - "new game" stuff.

It is interesting that that does not crash the game, it does in VC. The game becomes quite unstable though, I had two crashes in a couple of minutes for seemingly no reasons (not script related, afaik).

It cannot be used in ingame hundo to buy properties multiple times, since for whatever reason all elements in the array that stores the handles of the property icons are set to -1.

Now he found a way to get rid of traffic without having to die. That transfender mod menu can be quite a burden while driving, but fortunately it is completely incative during races, meaning you can drive as normal even if you have it on your screen during the race (the only race so far I verified that mod menu worked was Monster checkpoint race):

why final payout in video poker is 4000 and not 1250. Are odds rigged to that number?

Beat the Cock can be used as a duping setup. However there are 2 problems with it:

  1. It requires LV to be unlocked (at least from what I've heard), and we technically don't even unlock LV in any%.
  2. It requires high Stamina and Cycling Skill, which any% doesn't get.

So this doesn't seem to be useful anywhere at all.

Changes to the GTA:SA leaderboard

The GTA:SA community has been deteriorating over a long period of time. Many top runners are not currently present on the leaderboard. This issue has not been seriously addressed yet, but an attempt will be made to remedy it now.

As of this news post, the San Andreas leaderboard will function in
