playing all difficulties is stupid as that just means you beat the game three times without any major changes.

Normal and Frenzied are exactly the same for speedunning, that's why I had them merged. Pipsqueak isn't even that different, either. Mirror Tournament is such an uninteresting variation that there are exactly 2 runs of it on this site, as opposed to 54 on non-mirror. I myself haven't played it, even casually, in a long time. Unlocking all the races and Mirror is already done just by clearing Normal or Frenzied. The only difference between TT and Normal or Frenzied is the lack of unlock platforms, which is only relevant for 2 races: Up, where the platform prevents a shortcut; and Impossible, where it makes a shortcut slightly easier. Plus, being able to get all the weasels is IMO the bare minimum to even consider running the game in the first place.

In addition, 100% is usually taken to mean everything the game tracks, which here is unlocking Mirror, the arenas and getting all the weasels. Still redundant, but nowhere near the time waster you described.
