100% Run

So, recently my chat has been wanting me to do a 100% run and I was trying to think of what that would entail. Like, all items, tms, trs, and Pokedex completion make sense, but would it also include all shinies? Because that would be atrocious. And you would technically HAVE to be online, right? For version exclusives? Should you only be allowed to trade for exclusives and nothing else? So much to consider lol. Thoughts?

There's no such thing as a 100% run in a game that has no definition for % of progress.

Yeah, the tipical, basicaly 100% mean to absolutely completly all of the game, so any thing you can imagine by the way, and then max% having all OP

For sure:

  • Finish the game (any%)
  • Finish all the postgame
  • Capture all the Pokedex

Maybe:

  • Take all the posible ítems you can found in all the map of the game

Extreme:

  • Shinies xdxd

Which maybe for a max%:

  • Something like "All your time lvl 99" or maybe more than your team, until if you like all the pokemons of the game
  • Max cantity posible of each items, being 999 (or no, I dont remember the number exactly) for those items you can buy in a shop [ps: dont waste the master ball in this case]

Have to mention will be more thing to do if you buy the expansions will apear in the future [insert there dates xd], with new postgame and new pokemons

Maybe the 100% run can be

-Battle All Trainers -Defeat all Gyms -Catch all version available Pokemon -Catch all Gigantimax Forms (For that Version) -IoA and Main Game would be Specified and CT as well

If Local connection is allowed then Completing Pokedex for a Sub Catagory.

Thoughts?

hundo would be cool but idk if runners would want to play for that long. surely it would take at least 18 hours

I already have an idea for 100% in the works currently. I'll post all the requirements below:

Any% Post Game DLC Story (Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra) All Obtainable Pokemon-Galar Dex, IoA Dex, and Crown Tundra Dex All TR's All TM's All Rotom Rally Races Talk to all the Poke Ball Guys (meme mainly) All Curry Dex Battle Tower 200 wins in one format, max rank in the other (get a starf berry at the 200th win in one format) All Trainers All Clothes All Side Quests (there's a letter quest and a few others i think) All In Game trades Restricted Sparring All Digletts (the alolan diglett guy)

The current estimate for all of this is 45-50 hours

and no wifi is allowed. All of this must be done either solo or with someone else. The current name for it is "Most of the stuff" since you can't obtain all the pokemon in one file without connecting online

@Ranger_Squid that's a well thoughtout list definitely. I agree with pretty much everything but Battle Tower. Maybe just to the Judge Function because what's the point after that? For clarity sake I stopped in the Battle Tower after I got the Judge Function.

The reason for the battle tower is:

  1. The only way to get a Starf berry is through the battle tower
  2. It is a part of the game, not too heavy in terms of RNG based
  3. Long, but it’s still doable and doesn’t have to be 200 straight wins

Trust me I’m not keen on doing it myself, but I still would do it in any other game that involves 100%

Washington, USA

OOOOH I didn't know about the berry so that makes sense. Yeah every berry type should be gotten as well.

Well, as of the other day the list is a bit different now.

TLDR: The Starf Berry is collectable from a giant tree in the Crown Tundra, so now we can cut out 160 battles and only need to get max rank in both singles and doubles.

We should be able to collect every berry type normally throughout the game since all obtainable gives a lot of different items/berries, so it should be much easier now to finish this.

I guess the next big step is someone actually doing these steps to help give a better idea of a 100% run.

I have a document currently in the works. If you are interested in helping me, feel free to DM me on discord :)

This certainly seems like it’ll be an interesting run. Can’t wait to see it actually get run :)
