Flagpole glitch should be possible on 3DS. The glitch is very precise and not easy to learn.
It shouldn't take you as little as 100 attempts, that's too fast

Is took me 12 hours to get it, and after that I got it like 5 times. Now, I'm like 1/15 at it.

It shouldn't take you as fast as 3 hours, that's way too fast.
But actually, just practice the last part of FPG alone, that's what helped me
Also you can go to the Minus World Ending category, go to darbian's time, and just listen to how he did 1-1 FPG, you'll get an idea of what the difference between how long you wait before you press jump
