My Minus World Ending run was rejected?

@roopert83 rejected my run for being a duplicate even though I clearly only submitted it once. I worked very hard for that run and for it to be rejected was a big downer. :( So please tell me what I did wrong! btw it was a 2:39.867

https://i.imgur.com/4Zn047h.png It was clearly submitted twice. If you look at the rejection message for the other one, you did not specify the emulator used in your run.

I don't hink you should be giving links to ROMs. @RT_1

While we are on the subject, on behalf of all the mods I would ask that you please delete your old PB submissions after you submit a time that is better. I am trying to go through the submissions now and there are several submissions that are candidates for deletion. Admittedly, I did not know how to do this when I first started speedrunning. There is an ellipses/3 dots in the upper right-hand corner of the window within your pending run window. Click that and simply select 'delete run' to delete old submissions that are slower than your most recent submission. thanks everyone

My stance is a little different. Some people do like to have all of their runs verified to keep a progression, even if they have already beat it. We should probably come up with a protocol for situations like this.

If you don't care about old PBs being verified, then deleting them would be the best answer and is very much appreciated.

I'm a person who likes a progression of PBs, so I understand for those who want all of them verified.

Also, @RT_1, you need to either edit one of your rejected runs to get it resubmitted or submit a new one altogether.

hadn't considered pb progression tracking. that makes sense roop. I'm open to developing a protocol to handle these sort of situations

I have a lot of opinions but have personally avoiding adding any comments (In regards to a lot of these recent posts on SMB forum and also SM in particular, also would rather avoid adding to further possible conflict and I feel others exply roopert have been doing a great job of handling the situation) but I really wanted to add to the discussion of verifying all runs and progression.

I agree with roopert, I also want to add to the fact that encase of potential cheaters (which hopefully won't be the case, but unfortunately there are a lot in the speedrunning community) I think being able to look at older runs/activity is extremely important. If I ever had a suspicion about someone, this is one of the first places I will look.

Rejected because emulator not specified, seems scary

If the emulator is shown in the video, do you need to specify the emulator in the description?

If it's obvious what emulator is used in the video, I let that slide.
