Since I speedrun Hamsterball Gold, the livesplits do not work when I was in the game. I tried changing the setting and still never works. No matter what I do to get the LiveSplit work, it still doesn't. Is there even a way to fix the issue?
Yes there is. In my way, I use two monitors. First monitor for Hamsterball, second monitor for OBS and LiveSplit. LiveSplit disappears when you open Hamsterball because they’re on the same monitor and HB is the dominant one which is a full screen application (it works for me I’m 7th on the skips any% run and my video has both LS and HB running and displaying at real time). Playing a fullscreen application requires LiveSplit to be placed on an another monitor to be recorded. Hope this helps.
If you only have a single monitor, just run HB in windowed mode. But that's beside the original question.
For LiveSplit to register inputs while out of focus, enable the Global Hotkeys setting and run LS as administrator (right click in Start menu or File Explorer). Without admin privileges, programs can't read each other's inputs (keylogging is serious business).
If you're not an administrator on the computer, ask someone who is to set up an admin-capable shortcut ( https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/655967-allowing-user-to-run-a-program-without-admin-password ).
^^^ yes that also works when u don't. only disadvantage is that the screen is a bit smaller
