Hello all! I'm picnicboy! I watched SGDQ and puwexil's run of FF6 filled me with determination to learn to speedrun! I thought that before watching it that all speedruns were platformers or the like. I had no idea that you could even speedrun RPGs! I love square JRPGs and I want to learn to speedrun them, starting with FF6. I hope to get to know the speedrun community better and become better at the games I enjoy!

A pleasure to meet you! When you think about it, you can speedrun any game! Because almost every game can be beaten in x time. Even games that are side-scrollers with a set amount of time that they can be beaten in. Because you can find bugs to speed them up.

Welcome Picnicboy, have fun with Final Fantasy 6 learning. One day I hope for the patience to run a long game like that!

I do, in fact play it for the SNES! All things being equal, I prefer it over the GBA version, as it has FAR superior music.
