I submitted Herdy Gerdy almost 5 days ago and it still has not been put on the site.

  1. Don't submit more than once. You add to the workload the admins have to go through.
  2. The system isn't automatic - Admins go through the list and approve or decline each request individually, as well as checking up on recently added games to see if they have been set up.

I've seen it take beteween a couple of days, to a week-ish for games to be approved. Be patient.

Also you have to have a run of it. They don't want more empty leaderboards. So with a better chance of it getting accepted, submit it with a run attached- even if it isn't your run.

If the game can be submitted to and the game mod is active enough to approve runs quickly-ish, there's really no need to remove the game.

Some games aren't run as a full game (i.e. http://www.speedrun.com/pd2 ).

I'm in a similar situation, I submited a run more than a week ago and still no response. Previously, before I started to train the run, I posted in the forum replying to the game mod and I asked him some questions about the run also explaining that I was about to start to practice that game. On that time, as in this time, no response. Seems that only popular games have mod proactivity.

Yes and no, tbh it just depends on the mod himself (or themselves, if there's more than one).

It seems like you're complaining about a run submission, rather than a game submission. If they're inactive and you've contacted them all (via Twitch, Twitter, etc.) then read the first post of this thread: http://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/63nr7

Thanks for the info Klashik, I am not complaining about anything, just explaining my experince and opinion till now. I will wait longer before I complain officialy.

Anyway I do not agree when you say to contact the mod via twitch or twitter, I am not asking anything out of speedrun.com and if the mod has taken the responsability to mod a game in speedrun.com, he should be active in speedrun.com I should not have to chase or follow him in any other media.

What would you think if someone would go to your twitch channel complaining about somehting like this while you are in a live show or run? In my opinion you should try to avoid this unless it would be completely neccesary.

I kinda agree with that, but please remember that :

  • That person is still mod
  • As a mod, it's his responsability to take care of the runs and the leaderboard
  • If he doesn't do his job correctly, it's his fault

Sure, it's kinda rude to come in his stream just to complain, but it's his fault to begin with, this wouldn't happen if he'd do his "job" correctly. As a mod there's not much to do either, it's just approving runs and watching a bit over the game's forum, if he can't find 5 minutes to do that then what's the point ?

You can just send a Twitch message, it really isn't too difficult.
