Hi, so i think it would be a good idea to choose one emulator to go with for PlayStation runs.
What are most people currently using to emulate play station? when setting up to do some mess about runs on this category i was told to use psxFIN as it was the best and to me this emulator seems the most stable and simple to set up.
Please comment which emulator you use below and let's see if we can all come to agreement shall we?

My go-to choice for PS1 emulation is Mednafen. It's only known to be incompatible with a few games (and "incompatible" means any little graphical/speed/etc inconsistency for Mednafen)
psxfin is more consistent because it's never updated anymore. It's not as accurate, but the games load pretty fast. ePSXe is dumb because there's so many variables attached to it. psxjin, pcsx, pcsx-r are obsolete emulators, though they probably load games the fastest.
XEBRA is a good one too, but I found it incompatible with a few games, but you can actually change hardware parameters which causes inconsistencies (but interesting and fun to play with). Kind of slow and technically still WIP, but it's up there with mednafen.
So, mednafen > psxfin > XEBRA > everything else
Mednafen core is actually what Bizhawk uses, but PSXfin is also good afaik
Why isn't PSXjin good?
seems like psxFin is the way to go, all of the current emu WR'S are using it so it makes sense.
i'll wait though to see if anyone else wants to share their thoughts
I would stick with psxfin even though I've felt like it had input delay from my experience, but I have no issue running it either way. There's no variables involved so it's easier to regulate with one emulator established :)
@Carcinogen it's mednafen, but it's much less optimized than vanilla mednafen because a TAS emulator needs to make sure every frame is emulated correctly, so BIZHAWK won't settle for some people.
