Looking for some emulators

I have a mostly crappy PC, and I'm looking for a new one. While I'm searching and all that, I tried to speedrun some games, but I couldn't find an emulator (mostly SNES and N64) that runs smoothly or at least well in my pc (while obs is recording) What are the best emulators that I could use? Also, sidenote: If there are any cheap AV capture devices that sell to Europe please let me know. Thanks! -OTT

Connecticut, USA

GVUSB-2 for capture device, Bizhawk for snes, project 64 1.6 for n64. If your computer can't handle handle recording, then idk what to tell you

Kentucky, USA

From someone who uses n64 emulators on a regular basis, if you're looking for efficiency and speed:

Use Project64 1.6, and if it cant run it smoothly at 240p.....

You're pretty much screwed.

(I thought I sent this like half an hour ago lol)

Ok! Thank you both! -OTT

Certain games have certain allowed emulators, always check the rules and with the game mods before assuming an emulator is good to use for runs.

blueYOSHI and MelonSlice like this

if you're going to grab a gv-usb2 and import it from somewhere in asia anyways make sure you pick a japanese seller. That's where the product was originally sold and I have good records on getting my money back should something get lost in shipping. The one time I didn't get my money back they actually send a 2nd product that did arrive. If you have the patience I can also recommend waiting 2 weeks to a month longer for the package to arrive, even if the website you bought it on says it should arrive by then and then. I'm not sure about american sellers as I only ever bought used games from friends over there, but the gv-usb2 has been listen on their amazon for a while and most of what they sell there does also ship to many countries in europe, so it might be worth a try as well.
