Run Submission Guideline

To preface, Chex Quest follows the same rules as Doom.

Leaderboard Guideline:

-Runs must be SS (Single Segment) -Since death causes IGT to restart, dying invalidates a run

-Timing method is IGT -Certain versions of the WAD do not show e1m5 time on certain SourcePorts. If the SourcePort you use does not show the final time, use an AltHud that shows the time. -Submitting your final split in the future will NOT be accepted.

-Demo Recording -Demo Recording with command line parameters is preferred to beginning a run in game. For the sake of this leaderboard both methods will be allowed, but traditionally Doom speedruns are done with demo recording rather than vods. There are a good amount of tutorials on how to do demo recording online and it is pretty much the same process for every SourcePort. If you have any questions on how to do it feel free to ask a mod.

-No Jump/Crouch or Free Aim -Do not use these features. The game was not designed with them in mind.

I think that covers everything. If there is anything I need to add let me know.

I've never used a Demo recording to record a speedrun; since I intend to livestream my attempts, is a regular VOD ok for a submission?

Also I'll be playing on an original Chex Quest CD-ROM on an XP machine. I am very unfamiliar with other versions of the game and other source ports, so how would I submit this?
