I'm having some issues with the markdown parser while trying to format category rules. It appears to be ignoring single line breaks and underlines, which completely ruins the formatting that I'm trying to accomplish.

This text: https://pastebin.com/TgRTiSje is being rendered as this: https://i.imgur.com/MY3zRqj.png

I've used this kind of formatting in the past (eg. with Uru's rules [edit: why is this not linking?]) and it's worked perfectly (and still displays properly), though despite this even copying markdown directly from those older correctly-formatted rules to Myst V still results in the text being displayed incorrectly.

@sapphics The formatting for rules was changed a while ago, so that would be why things are behaving differently now (existing rules stay the same, but when you edit them the new formatting is applied). Single line break can be achieved by putting two spaces at the end of a line. I'm actually not sure how underlines are achieved, it may not be possible to do that in rules anymore. I'll let you know if I figure that out. As for that link to Uru not working, it seems that apostrophes break the formatting there.

At some point when formatting is more finalized and unified across the site, we'll create a proper formatting guide to help people figure all this out. In the meantime, if you need any more help feel free to send me a message here and I can try to help you achieve what you're going for.

@ShikenNuggets Ah, thank you for the help! :) Two spaces would not have been my first guess for a line break, though apparently that is in fact a common markdown thing, who knew. And I can make do without underlines for now, I suppose.

Minor bug regarding the new "Game rules" section: When you write/edit anything in the game rules as a moderator for that game, and then save your changes - the popup modal doesn't close automatically, and so it seems that nothing is happening, although the rules are updating just fine.

A runner on a game I moderate submitted a new PB, it was approved, but his previous PB has not been removed from the leaderboard?

https://www.speedrun.com/ducktales_remastered#PC

In the Glitchless category, MexicanoPB is listed as having 2 times. Is there any way of fixing this without just deleting his old run?

@CoKami - In "Edit Game", enable the toggle for "Regions Obsolete Eachother", or set the runs to the same region if they're supposed to be the same (their 39:54 has no region set, but their 40:00 is USA/NTSC).

I have twitch affiliate and around a month ago I saw it on my profile and was able to set an icon, however it seems to have been removed from my account.

Hi, I just signed up and found some problems with the email template:

https://imgur.com/C5QabzR.png

There's an extra "Hi %username%!" at the top, and the links aren't actually hyperlinking, at least in Outlook on Firefox. I think if it was a plaintext email it would automatically fill in the links, but without an <a> tag, it isn't doing anything. The Settings Page link at the bottom works though.

The "View" button should probably link straight to the activation link instead of the homepage, and the copyright date needs to be updated.

Also, just from a visual perspective, it could probably use a couple touch-ups. An embedded logo would be a nice touch, but at least some better padding or centered elements would go a long way.

If there's a more direct place to discuss this, let me know, I'd also be happy to step in and develop these adjustments personally. I don't want to double-post, but I also have a solution in mind that could reduce some of the server load caused by the jQuery typeahead searchbar.

[Edit: Also some of the server errors seem to be responding as 405s instead of giving the 500 "heavy server load" page, that might be worth looking into]

I changed the cover of a game, as you can see in this screen:

But when I go to the series page it shows the old cover in a smaller size:

For guides, it appears that the title (as in the HTML title) duplicates the author name so that it appears in the form Guide by AuthorAuthor. Haven't seen it on anything not a guide yet.

When trying to add Splits files to a game I'm getting an error message reading "That is the wrong file type. It must be a .zip, .7z, .rar or .lss file.", but I'm uploading a .lss file directly taken from my livesplit.

United States

KI. It doesn't accept .lss despite saying it does.

United States

We should make it so it doesn't say it accepts that.

It seems that timestamp embedding is broken across the site. This video should start at 1 minute and 43 seconds. https:// youtu .be /O8Pr3jLfvcU ?1m43s

That's not how timestamp embedding works (drop that link into your browser and notice it starts from the beginning). For the video to start at 1:43, you want ?t=103, that number being the time in seconds.

When I'm trying to add rules to the new categories on the leaderboard I'm making, it is populating text that is NOT in the Rules box. So for example, if I type "I like dogs" in the rules box, when I save it and view the category rules on the leaderboard, it'll either say "I like dogs, I like dogs" or "Why isn't this working, I like dogs," where "Why isn't this working" is something I typed 24 hours ago. Even if I completely delete a category, recreate it, and then put my rules into the box fresh, it still somehow gets all this extra or duplicate text. Help?
