I can't quiet find a good tutorial on it. So several things: -How do I know when I am doing it right -(more importantly) Any tips to help one learn how to do it?

There aren't really actual tutorial video's that I can link, but I do have video's that give a good impression on how to do it + controller view. I hope it helps, but from what I've learned running this game, you gotta keep trying it and you'll get used to it eventually.

Yeah, its only really used in 150cc and lower, in 200cc it doesnt have any effect.
