Well, I wanna speedrun Mario 64, Mario World, Dark Souls, etc. But they all need to be speedrunned with difficult tricks to get it done fast and they take so long to beat (some of then), Is there an game that's short, Not so difficult and that doesn't have so many insane tricks so i can begin speedrunning?
You could just run those games without the difficult tricks, you know.
Nobody's expecting you to get a top time right away, nor is anyone expecting you to use every trick in the book with a high degree of proficiency right away. All the top runners have spent an incredible amount of time getting to where they are, and being experienced in 'easier' games first won't magically make you learn your games of choice at a faster pace later.

I seen a lot of people that were starting speedrunning games like Metroid and after some time they learn the game and then get an world record. I mean, I tried to speedrun SMB.: TLL Warpless 8-4 and got an world record on beating 1-3 as fast as possible. and my other times where almost beating other levels records. Maybe if i practice it more. I'll get a world record, Thank you Drakodan.
