Verifiers are listed as Super Mods in the API, super annoying Kappa

Can Mixer be removed from the contact methods since the site discontinued?

Hi all, Pac referred me to this topic for future suggestions. I did not start this speedrun page ( https://www.speedrun.com/kam/ ), but I am now a moderator of it. Obviously there are more columns than the page can display at once. (Most columns are for different campaigns of the game, so this post can apply to any game with multiple campaigns.)

Currently one must navigate to the bottom of the page to access the horizontal scroll bar to view additional columns of the leaderboard.

I kindly request (whenever you all can get to it), to perhaps either:

  1. Implement a horizontal scroll bar at the TOP of the page OR
  2. Implement a tab feature, where we see the maximum number of columns per page without the horizontal scrollbar (and thus eliminate the horizontal scroll bar altogether).

@cmowla In dekstop view, you can scroll (horizontally and vertically) with the mouse, just click and hold the mouse somewhere on the ILs table, and then drag the mouse to any direction. You will select some cells with this method, you can de-select them by clicking on the background. It is not a pretty solution but it's something.

@Hogridergaming1 To delete your account you must also write your password again (exactly for extra protection against mistakes/accidents or against other people that might get on the account without logging out first). So, something doesn't seem right here.

I'll bring this up again:

I want to have "Web" as default when people submit a run.

Take Seterra as an example, it's been 1,5 years that I mod that game, for a total of 8,237 runs submitted. 100% of them are played on "Web", but in 99% of them people just leave "PC" in the submission form, even if we wrote in the rules to put Web. We've been editing every single run up until now, but yeah, setting Web as default would simplify things.

And no, we can't remove "PC" because people can play through a PC Application. And yes, I have this issue with other games as well.

So when choosing a city for your profile, from Quebec, you only get two cities and the top populous city isn't even there. Could you guys at least add the top 10 from this list? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_population_centres_in_Quebec

Haven't read through this thread. (There are many pages...) So, sorry if this feedback is repeated. My feedback - I hope this forum could have keyword search implemented as discussed at https://www.speedrun.com/the_site/thread/6ncai

I don't hate this site at all. It's a gift to me.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

A suggestion I have is to give verifiers the ability to "automatically verify runs" for runs that aren't their own. It's kind of a hassle having to resubmit every single run you have to edit, go to the runs awaiting verification tab, then verify it. If that's too hard to implement, I'd suggest just giving verifiers the ability to automatically verify every run since in most of the communities that even appoint verifiers, self-verification is a big no-no.

I agree with @NateCC14 here, it's really annoying. I have to keep 2 tabs of src open when I verify runs because of it.

Untitled Goose Game recently got a multiplayer addition, and we reworked our leaderboards to have a sub-category with "multiplayer" and "singleplayer". However, because of this, even people submitting a singleplayer run will see a 2nd player field, and might be confusing. Maybe make it so that sub-categories can also impact how many people can submit to it. We thought about making a co-op category, but that just feels weird.

I am once again requesting [at least a response from higher ups about the possibility] of turning off seperate load times for levels but keeping it on for full game.

I'd love the ability to make announcements to a game page. It's difficult to keep people aware of rules changes or new categories, and not everyone is on discord.

@XeroGoFast, nice idea, though isn't a stickied forum post enough? @rm, also an interesting idea. Though I think credit can be seen on the statistics page WR graph pretty easily, wouldn't you say?

@Oxknifer people very very rarely actually read the forums, I think a pop-up when submitting a run that rules have been updated or something would be much more effective.

My 2fa emails have started arriving much later than the 10 minute window for some reason, only occasionally getting through in time for me to access my account. I'd appreciate it if there was an alternate 2fa option.

I thought it would be neat to show the placement changes from the recent few runs. Here is a mock-up: https://i.imgur.com/Xq28HAv.png

@TalicZealot I do like this idea. To give my thoughts on this. I would say to make it toggleable / moving this view to the statistics page or remove the red arrows. If you are running a very active leaderboard, your run might always display with a red arrow making it somehow.. negative to my feeling if you are not actively running it at the moment. (or perhaps for the top 10 runs).

The green arrow might have a hover effect, for example 'From 32nd place to 21st place'.

When you reject a run as a moderator, the rejection window contains a basic textbox that allows you to only write one line. If you write a long enough rejection message, you can never see the full message at once, and it's quite hard to proof-read the entire thing or format it.

It would be better if the rejection message was an expandable textarea instead, like how we write messages in the forums. The textarea can still support just plain text, but maybe can support line breaks too.

Also, a bug: if you press cancel on the rejection window, the page turns to error page.

@TalicZealot I like the idea too, I have to agree with @Seydie but only in part. I do agree to only use the Green Arrow but not because you jumped from 32nd place to 21st place. The concept is that we are speedrunners and we primarily want to compete with ourselves trying to beat our own time, so the green arrow would mean that I got a PB even if I'm in the same position. And also you can't get a "worse" time on the leaderboard... you can only improve! So If I get a better time let's say in the last month (?) then I get a green arrow. Actually now that I think about it... many speedrunners don't wanna post every single PB they get, they only submit when they are done. And also if you submit a run you are obviously going to submit a better time, so the green arrow would just mean that you submitted a run "recently", but you can see that already from the submission date...
