I've been following speedruns of the regular HGSS, and I've enjoyed most of them, and I want to throw my hat into the ring. But I don't want to make things easy for myself, and that's why I'm going to start setting out a route for Drayano's hack of Heart Gold, Sacred Gold.

Between the higher levels, full teams and overall better movesets for the AI, it's set out to be a challenging run, even without the element of timing the entire thing.

Most runs of Heart Gold involve using your starter (normally a Cynaquil) until you are able to catch a legendary (normally Raikou) to sweep the E4 and Red with. I've been thinking of a similar strategy. See, in Sacred Gold, there's the option to pick up one of the Kanto starters in Violet city. I am currently thinking that getting a level 10 charmander before Sprout Tower (and then using it to sweep said sprout tower) to then get dragon rage and evolve to easily defeat Falkner's team.

I'm not the most experienced when it comes to setting out routes or even when it comes to the simple things like optimizing movement, so I'd like some help.
