i did a cheat mode run so please add it as a misccellaneous category. here's the run i did (i explain the rules in the beginning of the video before the run starts) the cheat code used for this run is TVSVUEIO

If Reize gets in your way just go to Lost City instead of Iron Whale. This is 2 extra map movements than going to Iron Whale before Lost City, but those 2 extra moves are still faster than going into another stage and then resetting to get Reize to move.
It does LOOK to me like the constant acceleration of the cheat code is faster than using the Propeller Dagger, so it looks like you want to be running by default and only using the dagger if you won't be able to hit your max speed before having to stop.
Since you can jump so high, you can probably pick up Shield Knight on the first frame she appears from the sky during the dream sequences, which should save a second or something.
Killing Gold Knight 1 causes Gold Knight 2 and Black Knight 2 to spawn on the world map so try not to do that! It is unlucky that Gold Knight 1 got in your way though.
All in all looks like a pretty interesting category, hope the mods accept it!
One cheat code that might be fun is QMPGLCRA - it causes you to take 4x damage. Try damage boosting now!
I've requested something similar to this before, but it was just a general "meme" category. (Things like 'fishing rod%' and 'Pandemonium Cloak%') I'd like to have categories like all the ones we've mentioned in this thread, but I'm not a mod (and I shouldn't be a mod) so idk there's my input.
Reminder that you do not need a leaderboard slot to run a category. Enjoy running the game however you like.

I will admit seeing your time on a leaderboard is one of the most satisfying things about speedrunning. And hey, maybe someone will see this and do a run of it and then 'cheat%' will build up from there. But really, who knows.
the reason i asked for it to be a category is that other people wont really run it if it isnt. people won't even really know that it exists. i would like to see other people run it and see higher level runners finding strats that only work in cheat mode, i wanna see the time go as low as possible. i know it sounds dumb for a stupid meme category but honestly its REALLY fun to run and having an lb for it would incentivize others to run it as well. besides, it's just a miscellaneous category, it would only really take like 5 minutes to set up and isn't really hurting anything. that's just my thoughts on it
Adding this particular version of cheat mode category to the leaderboard opens a can of worms for every single person who has their own version of cheats they like to play being a category. And to be completely honest, having a category on this leaderboard where you can't die or take damage would personally bother me on an integrity level.
I didn't even think about the fact that there are literally about a 100 cheats, if not more. The only real solution I can think of is getting a "category extension" board, where we have a few main categories for the different types of cheats and then subcategories for each code in their respective category. But there are two problems with this. 1: The Shovel Knight community isn't big enough and there still might be too many codes to account for. So idk really.
this reason i chose this cheat as cheat mode is because it encompasses all of the important cheats. i understand though. i just hope that more people run it because its a very fun category to do in races or for memes
