What started as a tongue in cheek parody of typical Christian television shows such as David and Goliath turned into one depressing roller coaster of characters breaking down, being betrayed, being abused. My personal favorite character is Clay Puppington. He kind of reminds me of Bojack Horseman.

Where things start to get serious is the end of season 1 where it is revealed that Orel's mother cheated on Clay. And Clay has a huge fit. There is also epic character development with Orel. He starts off as a poster child for the most faithful and naive christian child and then near the end he stops giving a fuck. You see him progress as he realizes that everything is not so beautiful in the world. If you can sludge through all the bullshit, you will be returned on your investment tenfold. I guarantee it.

I remember that show! I loved the little innuendos that they slid in throughout.
