Updating an existing run (with a faster time, new PB) question

When wanting to submit a new time and video for a game you already have an approved run for, is it advised to submit it as a completely new run, or do you edit your existing run with the new time and video link?

Or, is this something that will matter on a game by game basis and what that game's moderators prefer?

Thanks!

Yeah, editing your run is a bad thing. Because some people probably will want to view your old PBs on your profile.

I've known people who delete their old runs when they PB. Their choice of course, but I think it's a shame. That history is nice to view.

Especially if said history is relevant to the world record progression.

European Union

doesn't just affect the WR history, it'll also affect the run, your profile & game's stats themselves.

please don't unecessarily mess with the stats by editing your runs / deleting the old ones.
