I've opened up this thread to discuss each and every mode or category for the game.

Whether that's adding a new listings for a particular type of speedrun, adjusting the rules to an existing one, or any other types of concerns, it all shall be handled here! =D

Why are Region versions now separated? There are no timesaves while playing JPN over the US version of the game. The only thing that changes are text and voice acting. And while in Arcade Mode the time difference is so small, that it doesn't really matter considering the RNG factor this game has anyways. :)

Well now that Other Region Playthroughs are actually being added more frequently to the boards it will require more observation & study to completely verify if there isn't a significant edge to playing another Region Copy of the Game because of the Text, Voice Acting, Hardware Played On & Possible currently unknown factors because of Region Differences and requires more directly observed comparisons between them all.

This may also result in potential separation of other boards for things like Emulation or Running the game on Older PS3s that are PS2 Disc Compatible as well adding in more boards for choosing other the Division Routes.

i see ! maybe i can get a hand on a NTSC-U copy and test it out. I'm not quite sure if it has a huge RNG factor when it comes to acting, or if the messages are fixed before every battle. I can't check if PS3 has faster loading times unfortunately, but i can test all regions on PS2 and Dreamcast once i got a copy of those. Also the game wasn't released in PAL region, so there's only NTSC-U and NTSC-J for PS2 and NTSC-J for Dreamcast. :)

Yeah I'm currently checking to see if there's any significant differences between each Region & Version of the game through multiple sources so the help would be appreciated, however I can confirm that there is indeed a PAL version of the game that was released back in November 29th 2002.

Interesting ! I've never heard of a copy of the PAL version before, the wiki doesn't show a release either. I might wanna get my hands on that one as well. :) Thanks for pointing that out. I bought a NTSC-U Copy today. If i have the time this week, i will record both versions and then compare them, to each other.

Since you can't really skip cutscenes after the vocal played, it makes the JP version faster. Still i think, that the Leaderboards should be combined for NTSC-U & J & emulator. We're a small community and should encourage people to do runs. I have no problem with peeps doing emu runs at all. There will be a new runner soon, once he can record runs again. So i think, we should at least vote for that. :)
