Is there an specific reason about running the PAL release instead of NTSC?? Does PAL is optimal??

Illinois, USA

Overall, PAL is faster. Gabe's movement is a little faster because of the different framerate and there is less time spent in the loading between levels, etc. The optimal setup is playing PAL version on a disc.

It seems like what's happening is that NTSC waits for VSYNC before advancing the game, so it runs at an even 20fps and updates every 3 frames. PAL doesn't wait for VSYNC, so there's screen tearing, but it updates more often and moves faster. The difference across the whole run is several minutes.

All currently active players are running on emulators that are confirmed to be slower than PAL PS2 with fast disc speed, so if you play on console you'll have the most competitive setup.

But if that's not available to you, with PAL on an emu you will be competitive and be able to put a really good time.

I think you should Regional Compatibility: PAL and NTSC are video encoding standards used in different regions. PAL is common in Europe, Australia, and parts of Asia, while NTSC is used in North America and Japan. If you have hardware that is region-specific, you may need to use the corresponding play wordle format

Resolution and Frame Rate: PAL and NTSC have different resolutions and frame rates. PAL typically runs at 25 frames per second (FPS) with a resolution of 720x576, while NTSC runs at 30 FPS with a resolution of 720x480. If a game or media is optimized for one standard, running it in the other may lead to a different viewing experience.
