Runs not retimed
Poland

I checked a good amount of runs verified and they are not retimed at all. For a game like this at this size, I think having the runs not being retimed gives this game a really bad rep. I’d recommend getting them retimed soon.

Is there anyway to overthrow and create a new mod team? If the leaderboard isn't being properly managed for the level of its popularity, there has to be someway for the dedicated runners or people who want to help to in some way get the category managed at a semi-professional level.

There should also be a discord as a central hub where people go to talk about speedruns of slither. There is no established server yet because the mod has not made one or added one to the side bar. The way this game's leaderboards is being run right now is a joke. This mod has stopped caring about modding this game as they're not responding to any posts or DM's, yet they're still actively verifying runs. Runs that are not even retimed properly. Having only one mod at this games size is ridiculous. I hope the site staff helps us out here and you get modded. There are runners of this game that would do a better job at modding since they would actually care more about having an accurate leaderboard.

The best we can do is wait. This game is surely to take off soon. With the rise of speed running content on YouTube, a reliable mod team is essential for the records to be accurate.

Yeah totally. Btw let me know if you get added as a moderator too. I just started getting into running this game and recently got the WR for the 10th place category. Would love to help out and retime as many runs as I can

@Garsh Cold asking me to be mod for this board after doing a few runs is what a lot of people have done. I'm sorry if I didn't personally deny your request in DM but there's been many people asking to be Mod.

If you want to make a discord and have it added to the board as an official link then feel free to do so and I can do so. But I'm not going to give Mod status to people who have such new accounts/ have only been around for a short time. There's far too many runs on this board for me to just give out mod status left and right.

Also there are no lack of platforms in which you can contact me on.

And there is no real inconsistency In how I reject runs. I have to reject many due to incorrect videos, dead links, etc

Yes I haven't given Mod Status because over the last 4+ years no one ever sticks around for more than doing a few runs then moving on. That's the apparent lifecycle of this. People come and go, number of runs coming in ebbs and flows. No one has stayed around long enough to warrant me having enough trust in them to having mod status. I've been a mod on SRC since 2015, I know how the site works my friend.

I can only see you submitted 2 runs in the Audit Log, however you must have deleted the one I rejected because when I went to look for the runs submitted on December 16th there is no run in the rejected runs list. So I can't give you a reason, however I have to reject quite a lot of runs because especially in this recent wave of people running this game there's been a stark increase in incorrect runs being submitted, faulty video links, etc.

And that's fine by you for retiming runs, unless I see there is clearly a wrong timer I'm not going to retime every single run that comes in, especially when 99% of the runners only will ever submit one run, it's frankly not worth the time for a board full of mostly people taking the game completely not seriously and just having a bit of fun. If someone wished to retime all runs that'd be fine, however it's a bit of a waste. Maybe the top 10/ 20 whatever runs may include people who care enough that retiming would be fine. However I do feel like expecting a board where the vast majority of people submit a single run then never come back to the board and or speedrun.com as a site again is not worth anyones time.

I'm sure there's a solution to this problem. Maybe give a trusted player mod status (maybe have someone with a certain number of runs over a long period of time), and give them a trial period of maybe a month or however long you think is fair. I don't think it's fair to reject anyone who wants to be a mod purely based on previous experiences.

Update: I am now a verifier for this game and plan on retiming a lot of runs. So this problem is gonna go away now.
