New category - 100% mapless.

1:19:25 (1:15:42 game time) is what I, as a sub-par player, got. Current 100% wr is 1:26:57. I'd say 1h or at least 1:05 is possible. ....or 1:10. idk, man. around there

A few nerds I love have concocted a new category: one that does not fully require exploring the map. It is not 100%, but neither is the current 100%, which forgoes map fragments and spirit cell containers.

This category is much cleaner and quicker than 100%. It's more interesting, as key-duplicating and crazy skips are actually viable.

Any% is very difficult, the current 100% has initially-intimidating, required routing plans, including where to stand to properly explore an area, aaaand yep. This category is a great start for those interested in speedrunning Ori, and is perhaps more interesting to watch.

I'd love to have the community choose an actual title for this.

Here's the vod for that time I mentioned I got earlier: http://www.twitch.tv/serdilly/c/6466392

Please discuss! Or just add the new category straight up. Comments, questions (that I will not be able to answer)

I'm definitely not biased at all. Lol. But yeah, having routed this, i think it would be different enough to warrant a new category. I think it would also be the easiest run to learn for people that want to get into the game because it lets you get all of the health and energy, but doesn't require knowing a bunch of unneeded corners to peek into to make sure you get 100% map.

The current 100% adds a lot of time by having to just run into certain corners of the map, which is fine, but it can be a lot slower, and it prevents a lot of interesting techniques for being used. A speedrun is usually about doing a game as fast as you can, and not doing parts that are unnecessary. In the current 100%, the unnecessary parts are required anyways for the map completion.

100% currently has a confusing route, and we feel like it could be deterring some players from wanting to run it. I think we should still have the current 100% route, and either keep the name 100%, or maybe call it Explorer%.

I think that both runs have merit, and that it would be a nice inbetween to have any%, 100% and Explorer% because it would really be 3 different paces of the game, and they are different enough to have significantly different routes, letting the runs be unique in their own ways.
