Savewarps exist in this game, but we don't know a consistent/useful way and place to use them in a run. Here are the ones we know about right now:

  1. Gem warps:

These ones depend on you entering a boss fight in a different state, saving and loading, and ending up inside an uncollectable gem, which acts as a checkpoint.

  1. Chunk warps: (by Gpro)

This one is NTSC XBOX exclusive right now, as it depends on its frame advantage on autosaving. Basically, you die in the chunk you want to warp to, spawn on a world crate which then autosaves, and then load that file to end up in the default character spawn in that chunk. If the chunk has no default character, or the one you are is not the default character, the game puts you in the correct chunk instead of the desired one. This does NOT work through loading screens, meaning you can only warp to chunks connected to the chunk with the world crate.

PAL XBOX does not have the resave glitch.

I made a list of all savewarps in the game (pardon the naming, I went with official chunk names): (top - higher world crate, bot - lower world crate)

Hub 1: hubd (bot) -> cavernend - doesn't work, puts you near tikimon hubd (top) -> totemex - doesn't work, puts you near tikimon hubd (both)-> docent - doesn't work, puts you at world crate hubd (both) -> pier - impossible to avoid checkpoint hubd (both) -> hubc - doesn't work, world crate hubd (bot) -> totemex - stack of boxes inside cave, standing on air

JB: beach -> hubc (scut cave) - doesn't work, no spawn huba -> hubb (JB2) - life crate near blonde, turns crate into ? crate bossarea -> cavernent - impossible to avoid the checkpoint bossarea -> highpath (JB3) - log cutscene

Cavern: cavernent -> tunnel1 - impossible to avoid the checkpoint

TH: docamok1 -> docent - doesn't work, no spawn, puts you at world crate docamok1 -> docamok2 - inside gem river -> creep - untested river -> docamok4 - on top of a crate stack, allows for backtrack stock (village) -> beach - inside gem stock (village) -> chase - untested

Hub 2: labext (top) -> caveent - corridor before world crate labext (top) -> shipent - stack of crates near last nitro bridge labext (both) -> slipent - impossible to avoid checkpoint labext (top) -> psycho - spawn in entrance corridor in the normal dimension labext (both) -> ptcorr - spawn in entrance corridor in the normal dimension labext (both)-> ptexit - spawn in entrance corridor in the normal dimension labext (bot) -> caveent - world crate in cave labext (bot) -> shipent - doesn't work, world crate labext (bot) -> psycho - spawn near the computer in the normal dimension

IC: caveent -> hub - post-credits spawn caveent -> bergint - first checkpoint

SSI: start -> slipent - stack of boxes just before the world crate start -> roids - impossible to avoid checkpoint

High Seas: gpa1 (dingo hut) -> shipent - doesn't work gpa1 -> gpa2 (first small room) - spawn in the middle of the room

Hub 3: sch_hub (top) -> ambercor - crash's spawn after cortex's switch

BRD: boiler_1 -> boiler_2 - doesn't work, puts you just before world crate boiler_6 (dingo) -> boiler_5 - inside gem

Classroom: crashent -> sch_hub - world crate crashent -> crgpa1 - checkpoint lib -> crgpa6 - checkpoint lib -> crgpa7 - untested cogpa1 -> cogpa2 - untested cogpa1 -> crgpa8 - untested

Rooftop: roof1 -> roof2 - impossible to avoid checkpoint roof4 -> roof5 - no spawn, puts you back in roof4's first checkpoint

Hub 4: labext -> psycho - spawn on cortex's ass labext -> ptcorr - post-credits spawn IN THE 10th DIMENSION labext -> ptexit - middle of the psychetron

Rockslide: l10start -> l10roids - impossible to avoid checkpoint

BP: alta -> slipjoin - spawn in the middle of the road near drill ants alta -> altdoc - world crate alta -> alttunl - doesn't work, spawn next to world crate altdoc -> alta - doesn't work altdoc -> altdoc_b - doesn't work, spawn next to world crate in BP

AA: corea -> coreent - spawn in the middle of the beach corea -> coreb - impossible to avoid checkpoint

From my testing, there is only one savewarp that saves time from the standard route. river -> creep will bring you the checkpoint in front of the third lookout. There is a consistent way to do them in runs though. If you have one life (or make it so you have one life) at the world point you wish to warp at, go to the chuck for the warp and die. Quickly die again and the game over screen will act as a save and load. river -> creep is only faster on 360 as the 360 can load faster than the original xbox. It is far slower to the oob route though.

Other savewarps you haven't done: cogpa1 -> cogpa2 (Not good with the chunk names, I assume this is cortexs first room to the first frog room) This always crashes the game and is a pain to do. cogpa1 -> crgpa8 (Assuming this is cortex chunk one back into crash land) Puts you in the large room in front of the door to cortexs area The other crate which you didn't mention in the level I have only tested one way. Going backwards a chunk will spawn you on the check point always as cortex. Going from hubd to pier is not impossible if you use hover, but I can not do hover so I have not tested it Going from jungle bungle back into N sanity island will spawn you on the tongue of the totem with the blue gem sch_hub (both) -> crashent - Spawn above the checkpoint

There are a few I would like to see what would happen that would need cheats to do such as backtracking into iceclimb, or needing to not activate checkpoints. In would also like to know what would happen backtracking into cavern. This is a cool glitch but I think it would find no use in runs

Original Xbox loads faster when you install the game though (not pictured in the video).
