Leaderboard Moderation Submission Form instead?

Like title suggests, instead of a thread why not make a single thread with 1 locked post. Post would include what's on page 1 of the Leaderboard moderation request thread with a submission form since no one nowadays seems to read or care about it since most just go to the final page to submit a request.

I just think it'd be more efficient maybe? Just have a form, and make it so that a mandatory field is "Did you contact any / all moderators? If so how long ago."

Figure it'd help save people from replying with the same post different day and would maybe be more organized on the site mods end since it is possible to miss a thread request.

Just my 2 cents, not that I think the current thread is unnecessary, just that no one seems to really know that the first post in that thread states everything that's been repeated constantly

oh hey look what I suggested 7 Months ago Not because of the same reasons as you, but the same request.
• Site-integrated request function instead of forum threads for Leaderboard Mod, Marathon, Platforms, Series etc.

 • I feel like it'd make it easier for you guys if there was something in place, like showing a list with all requests, and having additional info instantly like "has run pending? yes/no" "oldest run pending: x days"
A lot of users help other users with this stuff, not just site mods. It's also a place where people can have discussions about moderation. Take that away and people will make new threads wondering where they can get help with moderation disputes.

Maybe we need a moderation dispute system as well

I wouldn't do a submission form myself, or, at least not a private form of any kind. It's way easier to direct a Mod to a forum post that they can then respond to over any kind of private DM/Ticket based system that becomes like a middle-man type back and forth scenario. One of the biggest issues with the Mod thread is I'd say the majority of users don't seem to attempt contact, or at least, not well enough I'd say. Majority of cases I've had some mods respond after 1-2 days and fix the issue immediately. Now, whether that's because I'm a site mod and it's kinda a "oh shit" situation and they immediately come to resolve it knowing that, or if it's a case where user's simply aren't using their initiative to properly attempt contact or intentionally doing a bad job to try make it easier to grab Mod... I don't know. But the biggest issue, flat out, seems communication. Except in cases where there is obvious mod abuse or a very inactive mod.

I would personally, at the very least, like some independent system setup for it. Perhaps similar to how it is setup now, but with some kind of flagging system. One where each request can be 'In a review' phase or a 'completed' phase. With users getting notifications when their submission is in the review phase and so forth. The forum for requests could also perhaps be better laid out to make the process easier, such as being able to reply to individual user's in a threaded forum format (like reddit)... and not like the way it is set out currently, with users receiving notifications for each individual reply and it then being able to become a self-contained discussion. Not having to shuffle through the long post list just to track down a reply.

Some kind of automated check system could also maybe be implemented, maybe. Something along the lines of inserting the game name before you post/being allowed to post, it checking mods last online date and also if you have a run pending and for how long. This would auto filter out a lot of the messages with users requesting mod because their run has sat in the queue for like... 3 days and the mods last online date was a couple days ago or something.

@Liv What you could perhaps consider is carrying on the process as normal, but introducing a 'waitlist' of sorts ie. you make it clear to people posting in the thread that you'll contact the mod in question in 7 days or something of the sort.

This way, people using the thread expecting you to do something about the situation know that their request is being seen and is in the queue to be handled, but they'll get a much faster resolution if they just take it into their own hands. Best way to get people to take responsibility for this sort of thing is to make it their best option.

Could work, perhaps.

I'll try talk to Pac about such a thing getting its own page, that Full Mods / Admins can edit/update. It'd work better than compiling a pastebin or something for it.

i'm new to this but how do i submit my run/pb to here?

First off, Not here,

Second off, there will be a button labeled "Submit Run" on the leaderboard of the game you want to submit your run too.
