There's something that is bothering me since i've always had stable fps while running HL. 2 weeks ago or so it has changed, and started to make fast short drops for less than 99 fps which makes it more annoying and unplayable.

any clue?

edit: it happened before when i had many tabs in chrome opened and even it would not drop like its dropping now.

I’ve been having this as well in some parts ever since I downloaded the new package.

Try using 2005 package

well, i want to beat myself i was playing for almost a year with goldsrc 2005 is just awesome, it has not dropped a single fps even with chrome opened SeemsGood
